AWARD CEREMONY: RESEARCH GRANTS ASISA-UDL CHAIR “HEALTH, EDUCATION AND QUALITY OF LIFE” YEAR 2025
Download PdfLleida, November 6, 2025. The ASISA-UdL Chair of Health, Education and Quality of Life held its annual award ceremony at the Health Sciences Campus, featuring a keynote lecture by Dr. Rafael Pacheco Guevara entitled “Ethics and Artificial Intelligence: Will values prevail?”.
The Best Doctoral Thesis Award went to Oriol Martínez-Navarro for A step forward in the management of pain in Fibromyalgia: integrating the patients’ perspectives and eHealth approaches, a study that integrates the perspective of patients with fibromyalgia and evaluates the potential of eHealth technologies for symptom management. The prize, worth €3,000, was presented during the event.
In the Master’s Final Project (TFM) category, Sandra Miralles Canet received an award for Retos comunicativos de los estudiantes y profesionales de la salud en la atención de las personas con cáncer. Una revisión sistemática y metasíntesis, and Laia Lacasa Cervelló for Fostering plurilingual competences through Integrated Language Treatment…, a proposal aimed at transforming language teaching in secondary education. Each prize was endowed with €1,000.
The Chair also granted six external research grants, each worth €2,500, corresponding to the 2025 and 2024 calls.
For 2025, the selected projects were:
• Development of a community self-management strategy through the co-creation of a series of podcasts aimed at preventing Human Papillomavirus (HPV) in an educational community in Kennedy (Bogotá), IP: Marcela Gómez Suárez.
• FrailFreeProject: Effectiveness of a multicomponent intervention including dual-task exercise… in primary care… protocol for a randomized controlled trial, IP: Ramon Aiguadé Aiguadé (UdL).
• Pilot study to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of basal body awareness in clinical variables and molecular biomarkers associated with fibromyalgia, IP: Glòria Garrabou Tornos (UB).
